This week’s trailer is a custom 96″ Deckover Dump (D8). The D8 features 19-inch fold-down sides, is built on a rigid 8 inch I-beam frame, and comes with an ultra-wide 96-inch bed. These features not only allow for the transporting of loose material and aggregates, but the side-loading of lengthy cargo like lumber and other building materials. With a GVWR ranging from 14,000 to 24,000 pounds and a load capacity from 9,900 to 19,120 pounds, the D8 is ideal for contractors, landscapers, and serious do-it-yourselfers.

This trailer comes standard with a Demco 2 5/16 EZ Latch coupler in an adjustable channel mount and a PJ All-Weather, 7-way wiring harness with dual contacts for a secure connection. The D8 also comes standard with a 7K, top-wind, drop-leg jack. This can be upgraded to a 10K, spring-loaded, drop-leg jack or the hydraulic Monster Jack for effortless hitching with the push of a button. The D8 in this video has been upgraded to the 10K Pro Series spring-loaded, drop-leg jack.

For additional storage space, the D8 comes standard with a locking front toolbox. It also houses the powerful KTI Hydraulic Pump and standard Interstate Deep Cycle battery. This trailer also comes with a tarp kit to help keep materials secure during transit.

The D8 comes in a 14 or 16-foot configuration. This provides a cargo capacity of 6.57 to 7.51 cubic yards respectively. The 12 gauge, 19-inch fold-down sides run the length of the bed and provide the ability to side-load lengthy cargo and materials.

The floor is constructed with 10-gauge steel for additional strength. It is also upgraded with crossmembers on a close 12-inch spacing. This helps to keep the trailer from flexing and sagging under substantial loads. The
